Somehow it is almost the end of February. These past two months have definitely been a slog, but I feel that I am just now on the other side of it. And that's not to say good hasn't come out of it either, but I'm ready for the wheels to start turning in the direction they are already pointed. It's a quiet Saturday morning here in the studio and crisp and cold outside, but should be very sunny. Tomorrow it's suppose to be more sun and 60 and I feel that is appropriate and needed for the start of a journey. Perhaps we will go to the Met and enjoy the park. As for today, I'm hoping to have a lot of presence as I dive into a particularly difficult but interesting section of my current painting as I near the end of this first layer. I am feeling prepared—paints all mixed and ready to go.
