It is a gray, wet day today. It was suppose to snow, but so far it has just been some flurries. I just got to the studio and it feels great to be back on a Sunday when the world is quiet. I am not exactly sure what I am doing today, but it will definitely involve mixing paint. I have come to learn over the last year the benefits of the meditative process of truly mixing your colors, and making the time to do so. For me personally, it has been the outlet that I can control, so that when I am painting, I can let my marks and choices stay true.  Extra time on the palette means a more freeing expression.
